The active radar jamming techniques face severe challenges in aspects to degrading the effectiveness of conventional denial jamming and deception jamming against some new radar with electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM), especially for those with inter-pulse and intra-pulse waveform, due to no gain get in signal-processing in the case when the jamming signal is not matched with the waveform radiated from the victim radar. With analyzing the operational principle of linear frequency modulated (LFM) radar, and reviewing the development of active radar jamming techniques abroad, a Research and Development effort has been made on the proposed DRFM-based jamming via theoretical analysis and emulation in Lab. The theoretical analysis on the proposed jamming against radar with LFM signal and its engineering implementation has been realized by complete copying the LFM signal resulting in the operational mode of one time read command and times read command. In this thesis, the steps are as follows:1. The characteristics of LFM radar signals in time/frequency-domain and the signal processing steps in pulse-compression net-work is introduced firstly.2. Then the operational principle of DRFMs, its basic structure, and the DRFM-based jamming techniques is also presented.3. The DRFM-based jamming techniques with complete pulse, partly pulse is stated, and the conception of delayed superimpose jamming techniques against the radar with LFM signals is presented.4. A theoretical analysis is made on the operational principle of various jamming techniques and the effectiveness on jamming power, and a comparative demonstration of the proposed jamming techniques is also made.5. The design of DRFM-based jammer is introduces, and its effectiveness of jamming against the radar with LFM signal has been demonstrated with good results.
