With the high requirement proposed by the information system in manufacturingenterprise, information exchange between enterprise systems has become more andmore important. In changeable marketing and manufacturing environment, theinformation in enterprise usually has diverse sources and discrete location. Traditionalapproaches could not provide the consistence, expansibility along with the support ofinformation exchange for heterogeneous systems which contains software andhardware. Therefore, to solve these problems, the approach of implementing messagerouteing and protocol conversion through enterprise service bus (ESB) has beenwidely researched and used. But, in fact, information exchange with ESB still exsitsmany problems such as the absence of information exchange autonomy andcollaboration ability. In order to solve inconsistence, nonexpansibility and heterogeneity ininformation exchange between MES and PCS, the article proposes an informationexchange framework based on event-driven architecture (EDA) for manufacturingenterprise. It is clearly that event is the driver and minimum unit during informationexchange, information processing would be implemented by event processing, andfinnally information would be presented with event-driven. This architecture is madeof three layers. Firstly, as the foundation of processing, event transformation layer isresponsible for information parsing and event genearation based on event resourcemodel. Secondly, event processing layer takes charge of rule-based event processingwith the information which is encapsulated with events. Thirdly, user-orientedinformation pusher implements the agile presentation with the relationship betweenpresentation components and event resource. Finnally, this approach would bechecked through an actual system in manufacturing enterprise. (1) With the study of exsiting approaches of information exchange and therequirements in the specific scenario of manufacturing enterprise, the articleproposes a framework of information exchange platform based onevent-driven architecture.(2) This paper is focusd on the research of consistent transforming of information.Firstly, event resource model has been proposed in this paper. Then, with thestudy of the information characteristic in exchanging process, this paperproposes the parsing method and event transforming approach.(3) This article has a research on information exchange with the study of eventresource model. Firstly, rule model is proposed to describe the processingmethod, and the rule adapter is designed to implement convertion from rulefile to rule language. Then, this paper has made a research on exchangingapproach with three aspects: event processing and user-oriented informationpush.(4) A prototype system of information exchange platform has been built based onEDA. To verify the validity, this paper has a detailed research on softwarearchitecture, module designing, application implementation, experimentanalysis and verification. The implementation and verification results of the prototype system show thatthis platform not only provides a valid approach to solve the inconsistence andheterogeneity during information exchange but also increases expansion of businesswith the rule editing. In all, the research work of this paper in information exchangehas some reference value and application prospect.
