In a given wireless network, the energy of the wireless device (node)is often limited. In the perception of other nodes’ strategies and thepresence of the background noise, nodes utilize the optimal responsestrategy to obtain the most advantageous energy cost strategies, in orderto obtain satisfactory signal service. Without any effective strategyconstraint conditions, it will cause a chain reaction if one node increasesthe energy consumption to obtain higher signal-to-noise ratio (SIR),namely the other node does it as well. Therefore all nodes waste moreresources, but obtain unsatisfactory SIR for their informationtransmission. Game theory is a branch of Applied Mathematics, which isvery useful on solving the selection of node strategies. According towhether the nodes can exchange information, the game theory whenapplied to wireless network source optimization can be divided into cooperative and non-cooperative games.Based on the non-cooperative game model, where the benefit functionof the node is defined by microeconomics utility function theory, thispaper studied two cases: one or multiple base stations exist in the wirelessnetwork. The main purpose of this paper is to study how to improve thepricing mechanism, to use the network service reasonable, to solve thepayment fairness of the nodes, to realize the most advantageous powerstrategy, and to achieve the purpose of utilizing energy efficiently. The main contributions are as follows:1. The theoretical analysis and simulations suggest that, the nodesbased on SIR of the price mechanism in wireless network withone base station obtain the strategy with lower power and betterbenefits than that based on power of the price mechanism, meanwhile achieve fair payment purpose, i.e., who use moresource should pay more.2. In the wireless network with multiple base stations, a node gettingpoor SIR can choose another base station. At the same time weintroduce a new price mechanism to achieve lower powerconsumption and higher benefits. Moreover we realize thefairness of the payment.3. In multi-cell wireless networks, we also study a situation that thenodes can transmit their information simultaneously to all the base stations. The simulations show that our price mechanism canobtain better power strategy. And it is also found that any nodewhich is closer to all the base stations, can obtain a better payoff.
