Disaster Recovery Research For Manufacturing Industry

With the development of our society, the information technology wasclosely entwined with our life, but excessive dependence on informationtechnology will bring us huge potential crisis. In order to deal with theemergencies, we should prepare to cope with sudden disaster events. Whendisaster happened, we should minimize the losses.At present, the studies of disaster recovery mainly focus on finance,insurance, and telecommunication industries. We combined the disasterrecovery technology with practical work, proposed the disaster recoverymethod for manufacturing industry. This work has positive significance forthe development of manufacturing industry.Firstly, this paper described the basic principle of disaster recovery indetails, and put forward some suggestions for the disaster recoverydevelopment of our country. Secondly, based on the disaster recoveryanalysis of manufacturing industry, we suggested that according to thedifferent enterprises adopt different disaster recovery plans. Thirdly, afterthe risk analysis and business impact analysis, we analyzed the disaster recovery plan of “company A” in manufacturing industry in details,determined the priority order of business recovery, and formulated therecovery goals and strategy. Finally, because the SAP system was widelyused in manufacturing industry, we analyzed the recovery strategy andrecovery methods of SAP system.
