Cloud computing has drawn public attention in various industries from emergence. Thenew service mode of cloud computing is said to be one of the ten greatest life-changing ITinnovative technologies in the20thcentury. Meantime, the ever-growing banking activitiesurged IT system to expand its framework, increasing operation complexity and difficulty.This adds an excessively heavy workload on the IT operators working in the bank. Theemergence of cloud computing solved the problem. Cloud computing has changed thetraditional service mode by virtualizing Bank IT basic framework. The automaticprovisioning function enables it to convert customers’ demands directly into applications fortransactions to be conducted.Private cloud platform that the thesis studied is a small power-based machine used forbank management. It provides automatic solutions by converting demands into applicationsfor transaction service. The main studies include:Firstly, the paper introduces the concept of cloud computing, the current research statusand the difficulties and challenges that bank IT data centers are faced with. It then assesses thefeasibility of implementing cloud computing solutions on Bank IT Information SystemDepartment, considering those difficulties and challenges. It also brings up some key featuresthat come with the implementation of cloud computing, such as go-by-demand, pay-and-go,ease of use, ease of management and rapid provision.Secondly, according to bank data center’s requirements on automatic application system,the paper designs an automatic provisioning model based on cloud computing platform.Restricted by business drive principle; standard principle; easy operation and easy codingprinciple; using product and develop parallel principle and platform extending principle, themodel has been well considered in terms of the application system and application field. The six functional modules and expansion of the platform have covered the application systemprovision and the need for system maintenance.Moreover, the PowerVM virtual design of hardware platform ensures that server, storageand network can meet the requirements of resource pool design on cloud computingapplication platform, while standard design of hardware resource pool, server, network,storage, VIOS and VIOC confirms the device to be manageable through cloud computingapplication platform. Hardware platform of the model combined with well-designed hardwaremanagement console (HMC) and network installation manager (NIM) will providehigh-quality service to the cloud computing application platform under low energyconsumption.Lastly, the paper studied the automatic provision software model on cloud computingapplication platform. Through logic function design and power function design on usergraphical interface, we established an united cloud computing platform operator interface andmanagement interface. The paper provides the function list of all the function design andextension design in automatic provision, and chose three use cases: server automatic provision,server automatic decommission and middleware software auto provision, through the detailedanalysis of these three use cases, the paper completed software design and passed thefunctional test.Driven by the needs for automatic service in bank data center, the thesis provides a deepanalysis on clouding computing and presents an automatic provisioning model of cloudingcomputing platform, which solves the bank’s problem through hardware and software design.The paper can be used as future reference for continuing research on cloud computing in thebank data center.
