Nowadays, information technology develops rapidly, as an important means ofinformation security, information hiding has become a hot research area. Digital video,which is widely used as media, can be good carrier of information hiding, and it usuallystores and transmits with compression. H.264standard is the next generation videocompression standard.Due to its excellent compression efficiency, highlighting theaffinity and other characteristics of the network, has gradually become the mainstreamstandard.However, due to the introduction of intra prediction, integer transform technology,video redundancy greatly reduced, increasing the difficulty of information hiding inH.264. Many sophisticated information hiding method is no longer applicable for theH.264video standard, and the newly proposed method for H.264has some problems,such as low video quality, or limited capacity. Therefore, it is necessary to do deepresearch for the video information hiding technology for H.264, so as to make it moreresponsive to actual application requirements.Based on the existing H.264video for information hiding algorithm, we did works onsecret information organization and proposes two information hiding methods, one isadapted to a reliable channel of information hiding capacity requirements, the other forunreliable channel with robustness of information hiding requirements.Proposed matrix-based H.264video encoding information hiding method.During theembedding procedure, we employ the ideological of matrix organization, to determine theembedded position so that we can embedded in multiple bits of information with limitedmodify of the carrier, thereby enhancing the embedding efficiency. Experiments showthat the method based on matrix encoding can embed multiple bits in one block withsmall changes in the video case, greatly improve the video embedding capacity.According to selected function parameters embedded in the different particle size canalso be achieved in different matrix-based encoding of information hiding. Proposed secret-sharing based H.264video information hiding method.Duringembedding process, we deal with the secret according to a particular polynomialdistribution, getting a series of sub-secret and distribute them to each video frame. Inextraction procedure, we only need to get part of the video frames, the frame can behidden under the sub-secret secret information to restore the original integrity. Thus, thealgorithm has the advantage which traditional method has, and can be suffered withnetwork transmission error, frames dropping, etc. with high robustness. In addition, wecan modify the parameters to adapt to real-world usage need.
