By the rapid development of information technologies, the human society has enteredthe information age. Especially with the emergence of the all optical networks, information spreads more fast and effectively, but along with the information securityproblems also can hardly be avoided. Only by increasing the security of networkinformation, the information technology could have a more substantial development. Inorder to effectively control the optical fiber communication in the process of informationdisclosure and other issues, developed a highly secure communication system is of vitalimportance. The chaotic signal which has the long-term unpredictability, pseudo randomand broadband rate spectrum is especially suitable for secure communication, so the laserchaotic secure communication systems is becoming more popular in the research. There are three parts in a laser chaotic secure communication system: laserchaos-generating source, chaos synchronization module and chaotic encryption module. Inorder to enhance the security of the communication system, this paper introduces a newapply in the chaos synchronization module which is thought being used by eavesdropper:impulse synchronization. This synchronization method overcomes a weakness thatsynchronized signals may be stolen by eavesdropper who can rebuild the chaotic system.Although the signal is stolen, it’s much more difficult to rebuild the chaotic system whichincreases the safety of communication effectively. Combining external optoelectronicfeedback chaotic source in high robustness, mature technology and chaos modulation inhigh rate, a laser chaotic secure communication system which has high safety andeffectiveness can be constituted.
