With the development of embedded technology, sensor technology and networktechnology, types of robots are widely applied. Especially in areas related to people’s lives,the robot brings great convenience to people.Interactive robots can help to completesomething that people cann’t deal with it in a short time. Moreover, people who want tocommunicate with a robot in the long range need to use the network.Network can help toimplement the remote control, and by using network to complete the communicationbetween person and robot.For the diversity of the service robot, this thesis analyzed the application environmentfor mobile robots, designed a modular, hierarchical mobile robot system. This article hasfinished an interactive mobile robot which can be divided into intelligent control layer andremote control layer.Intelligent control layer had obtained the external environmentinformation by the sensor module,use the intelligent obstacle avoidance algorithm,change the operating status of the mobile robot, in order to achieve the autonomousobstacle avoidance of mobile robot. Intelligent control layer which using the chassis of thecrawler make the robot with good mobility. The remote control layer to get the imageacquisition and complete remote transmission,to provide the interfoace for the ineractivebetween intelligent control layer and the romote monitor platforn. Remote monitoringplatform as a mobile robot with a remote operator man-machine interface,has usedintuitive graphical interface to display the mobile robot around the environmentinformation.It is simple and eaay operated.In this thesis, the designed Interactive mobile robot achived simple obstacle avoidanceand long-range interaction in the laboratory. This system uses Modularization and layereddesign ideas, provides a universal interface design, Ensures the system’s flexibility andreliability, Provides a reliable platform for the secondary development and utilization ofthe mobile robot system.
