Recently, the wireless network technology baseded on the IEEE802.11standard hasdeveloped rapidly. Wireless Local Area Networks:WLAN has been widely applied, thescale of the user has been explosive growth. How to improve the wireless networkutilization, especially to improve the throughput of wireless network, it has become themost popular topics research of wireless network. Network coding has been proved to bethe breakthrough in the research field of network and communication. It allowsintermdeicate nodes to perform coding operations on the incoming packets, and bedecoded on the source nodes.It is an effective technique to increase network capacity、throughpu、reliability and safety of the networks.In order to improve the throughput of wireless network,we do extensive research onthe application of network coding in wireless network. The paper builds a real displayplatform of wireless network based on network coding, which could largely improve thethroughput of wireless network through actual data transmission.The main inventive works are listed as foIlows:This paper first gives a general and scientific description about the basic theory ofnetwork coding; gives the induction and summary about the application of network codingin wireless network; gives the significance of the networ coding to improve the wirelessnetwork throughput.Secendly, with the researching of network coding and802.11protocal, the paperraises a new network encoding wireless relay transmission scheme, which includes thechoice of hardware、the designing of coding/decoding modular、the transmission protocoldesign and storage controlling protocol. The paper descrips the encoding wireless relaytransmission scheme topological structure, and focuses on the designing of system nodescoding/decoding modular. In view of the practical application of network coding, thispaper improves the traditional IP datagram format, and introduced into the packet function.After that,this paper expatiates on wireless relay transmission system architecture design,including the transmission protocol design, data receiving processing, data sendingprocessing and receiving/sending ends procedure design.Finally, through the test based on new network encoding wireless relay transmissionscheme, it can be proved that the application of network coding could largely improve thenetwork throughput. Lastly this paper discusses the deficiencies and the future work of thenew network encoding wireless relay transmission scheme.
