China is one of the regularly seismic countries in the world. Collapse of a largenumber of ground facilities and damage to underground structures such as subway tunnels, underground pipelines, and civil air-defense constructions are caused by earthquakes withtremendous energy. Moreover, secondary disasters are promoted, resulting in hugecasualties and economic losses. Lately more attentions are attracted with the increasingseismic damages on underground structures. At present, domestic research of anti-seismicof underground structure is lagging behind, the anti-seismic design of undergroundstructures now mostly learns from design specifications of ground structure, which leadsto some mistakes. For lacking seismic data accumulation and fundamental anti-seismicresearch, both the dynamic parameters of soil in soil-structure system and soil-structuredynamic action still lack feasible theory, which buried incalculable safety hazards.Addressing these issues, this paper carried out relevant research in order to provide thebasis for seismic design of the subway tunnel.Firstly, status of seismic analysis method for underground structures at domestic andinternational are summarized and key issues in the research such as input methods ofseismic waves, soil dynamic constructive models, the interaction of soil-structure system, dynamic contact analysis of soil-structure system, damping characteristic of dynamiccalculation, artificial boundary conditions are also discussed.Furthermore, a numerical calculation model is established on ANSYS Workbenchbase on the FEM, using the Elasto-plastic Drucker-Prager materials model to modify soil, the artificial viscoelastic boundary to modify truncation boundary, Rayleigh damping rule, and contact theory of Penalty function. Several numerical tests such as model analysis, seismic response spectrum analysis and dynamic analysis are carried out to explore effectsof lining concrete level and lining reinforcement program of surrounding soil. Effects of tunnel excavation on building foundations are analyzed as well as responses of differentwaveforms on tunnel structures. Finally, calculation software on tunnel seismic dynamic response is developed withANSYS APDL and Visual Studio2010, to achieve easy calculation and intelligentanalysis.
