Along with digitizing process of all things in the digital age, the amount ofinformation is at an unprecedented rate of growth, the demand for storage capacityincreases in synchronization, storage system has become a major bottleneck of theinformation system.Traditional hard disk is the main carrier of storage for theinformation. But, becouse of the effect of the superpara-magnetic, the density of themagnetic record is soon to its limit.Once the shingled-write recording technology isdecared, it is possible that the disk capacity will increase dramatically and it may becomea substitude of traditional HDD. The shingled-write hard dirve just makes a small changeon its write head, so the magnetic head will overlap a part of adjaceng track to make thewidth of effective track narrower. So actually, the areal desity and the capacity improve alot. But its random write performance is pool.In order to inprove the performance, the disk was structured to section, S-block andblock. In mapping module, the mapping method has different strategy. In garbagecollection module, this paper gives an effective algorithm to improve efficiency. And indata exchange module, the region policy improve disk performance more efficiency.The result of simulation shows that as long as STL increace the capacity of disk,therandom write performance of the shigled-write disk can reach about25%of the traditionalHDD. And show good performance for continus write request.
