Combined with the large amount test data in engineering field and theoretical modelsof other components, the hybrid modeling technology can be achieved to apply to the modalanalysis, dynamic response analysis and various of coupling analysis. Meanwhile, model visu-alization can help technicians to understand the characteristics of study object succinctly anddirectly. Based on above, the HOOPS-based hybrid modeling visualization system was devel-oped.The development and application of visualization technology, the concept of hybrid mod-eling were introduced at the beginning of the thesis. According to the requirements of thesystem, the architecture and functional modules of the visualization system were designed. Thedata structure and HOOPS rendering technology were analyzed in detail. To achieve the conve-nient interaction, a HOOPS segment level fit for the system and its mapping relationship withdata structure was designed.Several factors concerned with the efficiency of data block storage and search algorithmwere analyzed. An optimization block number value was proposed to enhance the efficiencyof display. And a program was designed to test the time complexity of the algorithm to verifythe correctness of the optimization value. Several key operations used in hybrid modeling werealso studied. A color assignment algorithm was proposed; A function was proposed to avoid theill-condition of transform matrix using in model matching in order to increase transformationaccuracy; To facilitate the selection of connection, a quick selection algorithm was designed.Finally, a HOOPS-based hybrid modeling visualization system was developed. It coversthe function on data-generation and pre-processing, parameter interaction defined for modelsolution, post-processing visualization etc. The effectiveness of the system described in thisthesis is verified by several examples. And on the basis of a conclusion of this paper, the currentproblems and possible research fields in next step are presented.
