Abstract/Summary:
Mixed reality provides greater visualization space and more intuitive means of interaction for data exploration.The visualization based on mixed reality has the features of rich visualization models of 2D plane visualization,natural interaction and three-dimensional space of mixed reality immersive visualization.However,it is a high cost to build this kind of hybrid visualization.For a 2D visualization,it needs to implement a mixed reality 3D space for its own,and it is a challenge to build a mixed reality space for 2D visualization conveniently.In addition,it is another challenge to provide mixed reality 3D space for a large amount of existing Web-based 2D visualizations.Therefore,this paper puts forward the concept of data transfer.By building a unified data framework,deconstructing 2D visualization data,and providing an interface of immersive visualization construction tools,data transmission between devices is realized.The realization of data transfer task through freehand gesture interaction solves the demand of constructing mixed reality visualization space anytime and anywhere.The main work of this paper consists of the following three parts:(1)An interactive framework of data transfer is proposed:In this paper,the interactive task of data transfer under mixed space multi-source visualization is designed.Through the process of dismantling and demand analysis of the data transfer task,the interactive framework of the data transfer task is proposed.(2)The freehand interaction scheme of data transfer is designed:Considering the factors of data task,device space,and device space switching,a set of freehand interaction gestures suitable for the data transfer task is proposed in this paper.Through visualizing the abstract data object,visual feedback design is carried out for the data transfer task.(3)Realized the data transfer prototype system and case verification:This paper has realized the mixed reality multi-source visualization data transfer prototype system,which can acquire and deconstruct the bound data of 2D visualization,and transfer the data to the mixed reality 3D space through freehand interaction.The effectiveness and value of the scheme are verified by applying 2D visualization cases of scatter diagram,stacked column diagram,and adjacency matrix to the prototype system and evaluating them by experts.
