With the necessity of diversity, modularity, networking for controlsystem becoming more and more emergent, a single control system can not meetthe current needs of a complex control system. But the distributed control systemcan coordinate multiple control systems to complete what a single system cannot. However, as the distributed system is more dispersed on geography andusually connected by network, it is uncertain in latency for the network, whichmakes it low in real time. So it has been a hot topic to solve the problem of real timefor the distributed system.This article presents a design of distributed system based on embedded system tomeet the need of an Innovation Project of Stat. It utilizes the TI’s TMS320DM6467,which is the latest chip based on ARM+DSP based on the technology of DAVIC, tobuild the hardware platform. And it uses the MontaVista Linux as the softwareplatform for the system, and Gigabit Ethernet as the transmission system basis. Thispaper completes the driven programs of system and programs of application interfacelayer. At the same time, this paper studies how to use Gigabit Internetcommunications to solve the problem of real-time distributed systems.The main work of this paper is to realize the hardware and software design forthe system. The hardware design of the system includes design of hardware platformand the functional modules; Software design includes the choice of the operatingsystem、u-boot and kernel transplant and the building of the embedded systemsoftware platforms. In the Linux operating system, it completes the driving of a seriesof hardware and enhances the speed of response to the hardware; Based on UDPagreement, it reduces the probability of the network collision and system delay, andimproves the system in real time network by the idea of time sharing multiplex and setting logos of priority.We have done the transport experiment on the designed embedded distributedsystem. The experimental results show that the real time data collection frequency ofthe system can reach as high as200Hz, and the timeout probability does not exceed1/2000。It increases effectively the capability of communication for volume data inreal time.
