At present, fire-resistance test equipment for elements can only carry out individualstructural element tests in China. Few measures can be used to test node or combination ofbuilding elements. Further, low-level automation and communication also affect and restrictfire-resistance safety and feasibility of building elements in practical application. In order tochange the unfavorable situation and to fill the gap, Chinese Fire Department of MPS willdevelop integrated building furnace, in which the automatic measurement and control systemand communication system will be independently studied by Tianjin Fire Research Institute.The design of the automatic measurement and control system and communication systemwill be discussed in this paper. The traditional furnace will be upgraded to increase the levelof the automatic measurement and control system and communication system based on ournational circumstances. With design and construction, integrated building furnace will be in aleading position in the world. The automatic measurement and control system of integratedbuilding furnace will use centralized measurement and control system. The data acquisition ofthe furnace on the spot will be combined with the process control and management so as toimprove whole control technical level. The furnace body measurement acquisition process bythe field monitoring and control substation independent automatically. And the operation ofautomatic measurement and control process management by the central control room of thePC machine, single chip microcomputer and a corresponding control switch to complete.The automatic measurement and control system which will be discussed in this paper isclear in structure and easily realized. Further, because of advantage of design and coretechnology, the system is safe and accurate and convenient to overcome the shortcomings ofthe traditional furnace to reach the object of the research.
