With the development of802.11n technology, and the application of the intrusion prevention systems as well as the advanced security protocol, wireless network now has the transmission speed and security nearly as good as wired systems, and well be widely used in the future. Compared to wired networks, the installation of is convenient, covering a wide range and easy to expand, as a result, the wireless networks will replace the wired network for the data collection and information transmission in the shop floor. By building a wireless LAN in a workshop, and introducing the mobile terminals, based on which the quality information collection module can be developed; RFID technology can be used to capture and identification personnel and key accessories information automatically; using digital assembly and testing equipment can greatly improve automation level of quality information collection of the assembly line, however, they only provide hardware interface devices and cannot directly access the wireless network but need to use serial interface to Wi-Fi technology for wireless data collection.Quality information collections based on the wireless network technology provide relevant quality data for the plant managers, and with the use of SPC techniques, the way they deal with quality issues can shift from the traditional resolved after happening to prevention mode. This paper deals with the assembly process that the sample size is relatively small, using virtual sample generation techniques to make up the sample size, and then building up the multivariate T2control chart. Through matlab simulation, the effect virtual sample generation parameters have on the control charts is discussed, as well as the detection efficiency of the control chart on variety kinds of process offset.Finally, this paper analyzes the quality management process of assembling line, describes Tablet PC-based quality management system design based on B/S structure; at the same time, screw tightening machines are taken for example to explain the design and implementation procedure of wireless quality information collection and transmission based on the serial interface to Wi-Fi technology.
