With the development of Internet and multimedia technology,people can get a varietyof video from the Internet, the demands of the network video are increased at the sametime,how to obtain the good ornamental effect when the users watch the network videobecome a hot research subject.Because of the equipments limit and the influence of thenetwork congestion,the video becomes not pin-sharp and not smooth.Therefore,how todesign a adaptive internet video player which can transfer the right video according to theuser’s equipment performance and the network performance status has become theimportant content in the field of Adaptive video transmission.By the analysis of the webs, the general metadata structure and the method has beendesigned, and the metadata can be used to show the information in the video page to helpthe users to understand the video. The adaptive internet video is developed with theActionScript scripting language, and it can test the network performance and the video’sdownload speed.For the historical performance data, it use the index Prediction Model,Secondary index Prediction Model and the Random GM (1,1) Prediction Model to predictthe network performance, calculate their errors and select the prediction model which hasthe minimum error to complete network performance prediction as the final predictionmodel. For the users who use the different equipments, the adaptive internet video playercan get the equipment’s system parameters and screen parameters by the attribute of ClassCapabilities, and then combine the result of Network performance prediction to select themost appropriate video content to transfer.The experimental results show that the adaptive internet video player has manyadvantages compared with the current dominant video players.It can provide appropriatevideo content according to the different users who have the different equipments anddifferent network performance,it alse can improve the user ornamental effect.However,thestability of the video player and the functions in it needs to improve.the adaptive internetvideo needs to be improved in the portability, and so it can be used in the ios system,android system and some other different mobile phone system platforms.
