With the development of Internet, the number of clients, as well as the processingcapability of servers, served by the internet system has dramatically increased, and theseservers has been deployed more and more diversed in the Internet. Distibuted system hasbeen playing a much more important role. There are many problems and challanges, which are different from those incentralized system, in distributed system. How to manage the configuration filesefficientlly and stably is the crucial part of these problems, considering that configurationfiles could affect the running state of servers in the system.Based on the above-mentioned background, this paper proposes a modelHADMC(Hierarchical Application Layer Data Dissemination Model). The architecture, aswell as operation model and data routing strategy, is presented in detail. This paperdescribes the detailed process of management and maintenance of nodes in the model. Inorder to increase the efficience, stability and expansibility of the model, two optimizedrouting strategies based on GNP are designed. The simulation results indicate thatHADMC is efficient, stable and expansiblein date dissemination.CMSH(Configuration Management System based on HADMC) has been designedand developed in this paper. The architecture of the system is described in detail. Thesoftware architecture is based on module, which adapts pretty well to the variation ofnodes in HADMC. This paper also describes the processing of consistence in datadissemination. CMSH is efficient in data dissemination proved by the pratical results.CMSH could be used in managing configuration files for distributed system.
