The optical system of satellite optical communication directly impacts thecommunicate performance of overall system. The research on the terminal opticalsystem has significance in both military and civilian applied fields. The optical systemdesign process faces many difficulties. The terminal system should have precisionalignment and high gain performance. It also should have small volume, lightweight,simple structure, high transmitting efficiency and reliable characteristics. In addition,as for communication links between satellite and ground, wave front aberrationcaused by atmospheric turbulence will seriously affect system performance. Therefore,the system design must correct wave front distortion. The optical system design hasbecome a competing research subject for many domestic and foreign researchagencies in recent years. In this thesis, we design an integrated optical transceiverwith a common optical antenna, which has characters of precision beam alignmentand adaptive correction wave front aberration.This thesis focuses on the optical system of satellite laser communicationterminals. Firstly,we introduced the purpose and significance of the thesis topics. Bystudying several typical terminal optical systems, we summarize their features andadvantages. Secondly, we study the basic structure and operating principle of satelliteoptical communication terminal. We analyze main technical parameters of eachsubsystem.The chief work we done consists of four aspects.(1) A collimating system forspace laser communication is designed.(2) An optical antenna system for space lasercommunication is designed.(3) The optical transceiver system for space lasercommunication is designed.(4) We make an optimization and improvement toterminal optical system combining adaptive optics technology, which effectively will suppress wave front distortion well.
