In the military and aerospace fields, high-resolution imaging spectrometer isbecoming increasingly important, requiring both higher spatial resolution andspectral resolution. Challenges have been brought forth for high-performanceimaging circuit following the development of high-resolution imagingspectrometer. The study and improvement of high-performance imaging circuitdesign could provide strong support for the development and application of thehigh-resolution imaging spectrometer. Aiming at the CMOS detector with largearrays and the Camera Link interface, an imaging circuit of the imagingspectrometer is designed.First the development progress of the imaging spectrometer and it is potentialapplication are introduced, then features such as the working mechanism, imagingcharacteristics and applications of the CMOS detector, comparison with the CCDdetector are summarized. Then the methods of the data transmission, such as theUSB and Camera Link interface are compared.The core component of the imaging circuit is Cypress1280*1024CMOSdetector. Analyzed the work process and characteristics of the detector anddesigned the module of the imaging circuits. We discussed the technology of theCamera Link interface. In the hardware circuit design, we used Spartan-3familyof FPGAs with4layers PCB, and descripted the logic timing of the CMOSdetector and the Camera Link interface with VHDL language. It could work atboth rolling and global shutter mode. The imaging data is transmitted by CameraLink interface.We carried out a series of experiments about the imaging circuit, analyzedexperimental problems and introduced corresponding solutions. Finally theimaging circuit has met the target requirements. Then we summarized theinadequacies in the work, submitted the improve views.
