Requirements engineering has grown up with the development of computerapplication. At the beginning of computer application, software scale was small andpeople paid more attention to coding, so requirements engineering had little attraction.With the expansion of software system scale, people have realized requirementsactivity not only in the design phase of application software development, but also inthe whole life cycle of software system development.The Requirements of engineering is split into requirements development andrequirements management. According to understanding and experience indevelopment processes, this article against a background of development andmanagement of requirements from the distributor management system of theenterprise summarizes and abstracts the problems that should be noticed inrequirements development and requirements management of IT projects, and tries toupgrade the problems from the requirements of engineering to requirementsengineering to discuss.For every phase in requirements development, on the basis of the distributormanagement system, this article analyses the main problems and gives some adviceaccordingly in elicitation, analysis, specification, validation and so on. In order to dig up user requirements in depth and efficiency, this article studies the tasks that need befinished and the principles that should be taken in requirements development andexpatiates on the possibility and methods of Joint Application Design, PrototypeMethod and so on using in specific implementation.Requirements documents are very important for requirements development.Structure and logicality decide how to understand and use it. This article defines thestructure of the documents in each phase and illustrates it by the distributormanagement system.This article analyzes the relationships among the phases. Elicitation, analysis andspecification depend on one another, and promote one another. Analysis makesproblems clear and then guides how to get and ask necessary questions. When writingspecification, you can get farther information with the help of imaging target systems.Validation is throughout all the phases in requirements development. It tries to findand correct any mistake in requirements developments.The main achievement of this article is to demonstrate and study each phrase inrequirements development in detail. This article analyses every phase in requirementsdevelopment from three aspects and illustrates each phase by the distributormanagement system. The achievement in this article has successfully been applied toour IT Projects and effectively promotes quality and efficiency of requirementsdevelopment.
