Ocean ambient noise, has been as an interference of the sonar system. Active sonarsystems or passive sonar system developed should consider how to effectively inhibit theunderwater background noise to improve the performance of the sonar system. Underwaternoise imaging underwater ambient noise as a useful signal, the background noise signal asthe sole source of the system work to underwater target detection and imaging. After the papers have been in the marine environment noise literature, includingtheoretical research and experimental research to determine the feasibility of the theory ofnoise imaging, and the existing theoretical models for the simulation to determine therelevant technical parameters designed a set of feasible pool experimental program. Followthe steps to the gradual implementation completed.Experimental study of the first tank experiments environmental background noisemeasurements, the simulated rain noise underwater sound field measurement, given thespectral distribution of the noise sound pressure level of the pool floor and simulated rainnoise to determine the basic situation of the experimental sound field. An aluminum plate asthe target pool of this background noise sound field and simulated rain noise sound fieldconditions, the single hydrophone device imaging contrast experiments to verify thefeasibility of imaging in the isotropic and anisotropic underwater noise environment. Noisefield anisotropy of the extent of the noise of the hydrophone receiving array imagingexperiments under the same conditions change. Experimental data processing to obtain theexpected results calculated consistent with the theoretical simulation, and verify that theambient noise imaging.
