Currently, embedded devices have been widely applied to people’s life and industrial production, it has important reality significance and economic value to access the embedded devices to Internet, sharing information resources. The key problem of the embedded system accessed to Internet is achieving cost and security.In the embedded devices, most of them are8-bit single-chip, so a specific formula for single-chip access to Internet is proposed:single-chip+improved uIP protocol+network interface chip, and analyzed from hardware and software aspects.In the hardware aspect, firstly selected a8051single-chip STC12C5A, a network interface chip RTL8019AS and other peripheral devices, then designed the system circuit, accessed the single-chip to the Ethernet. In the software aspect, firstly, analyzed the existing uIP protocol, pointed out his deficiencies and improved, then implanted the improved uIP protocol into the single-chip, designed RTL8019AS driver program, at last researched the data transmisson security on the Internet and designed an encryption algorithm for8-bit single-chip.In order to verify the formula feasibility, the system is tested, the results show that the design not only transports data well, but also make a encryption on the data to ensure the transmission security.
