The world horticultural exposition is another international event held in China.The constructions of the digital expo planning decision support system become animportant platform of extemal propaganda, advertisement and management.According to the high precision, high density and massive data characteristics of theexpo, and on the basic of the VRGIS platform, this paper accomplish the digitalworldwide park system and simulates the international horticultural expo combinedwith data management and operation techniques such as three-dimensional modeling,space grid index, adaptive LOD, which guarantees that the interaction of the massivethree dimensional worldwide garden scene is fluent. Based on that, we havedeveloped several functions such as auxiliary planning design, publicity expo andfacilities management, which offers three-dimensional visualization platform for theinternational horticultural expo management.The paper mainly focuses on the following aspects in detail:(1) The construction method of three-dimensional model in data Digital ParkIn the process of the construction of the digital park, construction of thethree-dimensional model data is the foundation, directly affecting thethree-dimensional simulation effects that will display in the International HorticulturalExposition and the efficiency of the system. Taking the Xi’an InternationalHorticultural Exposition as example, the article has summarized the specification andregulation of organizing the International Horticultural Exposition3D model data soas to lay the foundation for the building of the Digital Park Planning Decision SupportSystem.(2) Data organizing and scheduling of the Digital ParkTo meet the International Horticultural Exposition’s need of high-precision andto handle the huge amounts of data, VRGIS platform is used as the foundation andplus with the3D model data space index scheme,and the “external memory-intemalmemory–graphics card memory” data adaptive scheduling technology. The Dataorganization and scheduling of the Digital Park has been deliberated on which is one major breakthrough in the digital international Horticultural Exposition.(3) System design and applicationFrom four aspects--system architecture, system functions, this paper describesthe overall design of the system. These design have made the Digital Park PlanningDecision Support System work well--Scene seems realistic, interact smooth,technology is practical and all get a good application in the International HorticulturalExposition.In this paper, just as it was described and analyzed above, has formed athree-dimensional World Park that combine planning, decision-making andmanagement with the breeze into one. By all these technologies, the package couldgreatly improve the efficiency of planning and construction of the World Park,reflecting the thrust of the Green World Park.
