Optical probe as a non-contact probe, has high accuracy and resolution, and is widely used in industrial precision measurement, because it does nothave any impact on the measured object in the measurement. And by using afocused objective lens the beam can be focused very small, so as to avoid thecontact probe to radius compensation. In the processing of sintering optical fiber probe, the size and roundness ofthe microsphere could depend on the current intensity and the discharge time ofthe discharge circuit. We use the software to control the current intensity andthe discharge time. The electrodes will produce a certain amount of heat, so asto sinter the optical fiber port to a microsphere. During the discharging process,we may also make the optical fiber rotate in order to ensure it to be heat evenly. So the eccentricity of the sintered microsphere will reach the minimum. The discharge circuit adopts ARM microprocessor as central controller, and the TL494chip is developed to control the discharge circuit intensity bydominating the output pulse width as generating PWM signals. ARMmicroprocessor will dominate the output pulse of the chip, so as to control thedischarge time.
