As the development of3G technology, more and more mobile terminals have join theInternet base on wireless network, the P2P technology which have achieve great success inthe traditional fixed-line Internet combine wireless networks form the new mobile peer-to-peer(MP2P).MP2P have become a hot spot both in theory and in specific applications. Thecore issue of the MP2P network is resource location. Mobile Agent is a new networkcomputing technology; it has the intelligence, collaboration, and mobility. Mobile Agent isquite suitable for the situation of MP2P network which topology is unstable and the ability ofnodes is limited. Applicating Mobile Agent technology to solve the MP2P network resourcelocation problem has a bright future and has great significance to the development.First we describes the fundamental state of MP2P and Mobile Agent, including MP2Ptechnology and mobile Agent technology, then discusses the research status of resourceslocation on MP2P and applying Mobile Agent in P2P technology form domestic tointernational and give an summary. For MP2P topology is dynamic and nodes capacity isrestrained, in the layered architecture of super-node basis, focused on user behavior andfeature of resources, we introduce the mechanism of cache and translation look-aside buffer. Aresource information dissemination method based on localized features resource and cachingmechanism is proposed. And then a resource location method based on frequency of visits andTLB are put forward. As the transmission path is unstable, nodes are likely failure, in order to achieve thepurpose of efficient delivery of the resources, we apply mobile agent in resource packing andtransmission and path selection. A resources delivery algorithm based on Mobile Agent isgiven in the form of pseudo-code. Finally the simulation results indicate that the proposedschemes have improved significantly in resource location, network load, and the success rateof delivery.
