In recent years, with the rapid developing of technology about peer-to-peer network, most research and development mainly focus on resource sharing. Considering the angle of locating document resources, existing peer-to-peer resource sharing systems only provide coarse-grained resource location based on file names. To solve this problem, we propose the concept of P2P resource location based on document content which using the technologies of information retrieval and P2P computing.The structure of P2P model and routing mechanism of querying message are the key technologies of resource location. The goal of this system is to provide more effective service of resource location based on the content of document while ensuring the expansibility of this system. After researching on several popular P2P resource locations, a new solution is designed for achieving the goal above. On the aspect of the structure of P2P model, an improved hybrid P2P network architecture is designed. In this model, the super nodes have the shared information for providing efficient resource location, the ordinary nodes completed specific document retrieval. On the other aspect of routing mechanism of querying message, super node and ordinary node are designed for realizing this routing. Super node resource routing table based routing mechanism uses the shared information to guide the forwarding of the query messages. Ordinary node searching cache based routing mechanism uses the searching cache information to construct the overlay network, aiming at the optimization for the duplicated query messages in the networks. Overlay networks based routing mechanism construct the overlay networks by computing the similarity of the sharing documents, and the query messages are forwarded by the ordinary nodes, avoiding the overload of the super nodes.After analyzing the key technologies, P2P resources location system based on document content are designed and implemented. This paper describes the specific operational mechanism. In final, the deficiencies and further improvement measures of the system are illuminated.
