This article designs a system for imaging of USB-based transfer mode and CMOS imagesensor, and it is under the control of PC for work-mode and configurations. This system can beused in surveillance, car assistant, traffic management and so on in middle and low-end market.Firstly, on the basis of a clear research status and system functional requirements, analysisthe imaging principles of the CMOS image sensor and product characteristics. Then introducethe timing of image data transmission, the registers functions and the corresponding operatingmode, and be familiar with I2C bus transmission characteristics for the entire imaging system tobuild the most important front electronic components.Secondly, this article designs using the USB-based image signal acquisition andtransmission, in-depth study of USB protocol, its transfer mode and operating characteristics. Then select the51-core integrated chip CY7C68013-FX2as the USB controller chip for thewhole system, and design the corresponding circuit connection to the image sensor, includingmatching the timing interface and the I2C interface, using the C language to develop specificfirmware.Thirdly, On a PC terminal, introduce the VS2010development environment and the VCcomplier, C++language development of specific debugging imaging procedures, so that it canreceive a complete into image data and carry out data conversion by related algorithms, and savefor a bitmap file that can be displayed on a PC.Lastly, the development of the graphical interface based on multi-threaded applicationallows users to observe the data to control an image’s acquisition and display.
