Software testing is an important part of software development, software quality and reliability is an important safeguard, and the traditional manual testing often has to spend a lot of time and labor costs. This paper is based on the test of access network terminal equipment, using TCL scripting language, calling automatic testing tools of QTP, to operate a automated test system, and strive to improve software testing efficiency and accuracy, and it can be provided after the test report on the results of the testing process and test logs.TCL (Tool Command Language) is a simple scripting language and easy to operate, its internal functions through the libraries and interpreter embedded into the application, through the superior scalability of the processes defined to achieve the needs of the script of the test. QTP (Quick Test Professional) is a currently popular automated testing tools, it is through the recording/playback or descriptive programming on the test object on the screen and full control of the test properties, complete with manual test scripts generated the same effect.This paper describes the automated testing and research of the background, and then for the automated testing of the basic principles and basic access network terminal test knowledge of detail. Then on the TCL language and automated testing tools to do a detailed analysis of QTP. In the previous work on the basis of these, in accordance with the manual test cases and procedures, research and design a terminal for the access network, automatic test system solutions, through the application of test scripts written in TCL, the successful solution of the terminal complex user interface, functional interface range of issues; parameter transmission and QTP combination of automated testing tools, cross-platform, flexible call various third-party testing software that allows testing of the system greatly improved scalability; through the complete log system, the resulting failure to facilitate inspection,testing results and log reports, clarity of feedback to the testers, saving a lot of time for fault location and analysis. In this paper, TCL library functions and the log generation system has made the highlights, and finally the reader is given specific examples to facilitate understanding.Automated test systems designed in this independent is easy maintained and can solve most of the terminal equipments test requirement The actual application has now entered the practical stage, the results can be seen from the use of automated testing software testing did significantly improve the efficiency and shorten the software development cycle.
