All solid state laser in combination with laser amplification technology which could obtain laser output with high beam quality and high power density has become one of the hotspots in the research of laser technology in recent years.1.3μm laser which get through by all solid state laser amplification techniques has a very important research value of a very wide range applications in laser medicine, fiber communications system and military. With the deepening of the research, the researcher of1.3μm laser has raised taller requirement of output power, beam quality and so on. Many experiments have shown that Nd:YAP crystal is the most suitable laser material for high power operation of1.3μm.Then this could makes the LD pumped Nd:YAP laser amplifier to achieve high power, high beam quality1.3μm laser output be possible. However, there have no relevant report about1.3μm Nd:YAP laser amplifier in domestic and abroad at present, then this makes the research work of LD pumped Nd:YAP1.3μm laser amplifier has broad prospects and great academic significance.In this paper, a laser at1.3μm was produced through the LD side-pumped Nd:YAP system, a high repetition frequency1.3μm laser output through acousto optic Q achieved. And structures a one-stage traveling wave amplifying system was built out of the cavity. The main theoretical and experimental research contents are completed as follows:(1)Based on the LD pumping module structure and the Jones matrix theory, optimized the resonator parameters of the oscillator with Matlab software and simulated the output power, pulse width and other parameters with the injection power of change trend of the oscillator;(2)Based on the rate equation of1.3μm acousto optic Q-switched with Nd:YAP crystal, established the signal gain model of Nd:YAP1.3μm laser amplifier, and analyzed the influencing factors of laser amplifier power gain;(3)Build the experiment platform of Nd:YAP one-stage traveling wave amplifying Studied on the output optical parameters of the oscillator and the amplifier. Calculated the power gain of the amplifier, contrast with the1.3μm amplified laser output characteristics;(4)A small signal gain of1.66in1.3μm amplified laser output was obtained from the oscillator which the pluse repetition rate of1KHz, and the results were in good coincide with the simulation.
