335nm ultraviolet in photobiology, photo-medicine, laser display, particularly in various manifestations of fluorescence detection and imaging has widely application. This paper focus on the all solid state335nm quasi-continuity UV laser, the problem of low conversion efficiency, research of the theory and experiment.(1) Through the nonlinear frequency conversion, analysis of fourth harmonic generation crystal phase matching angle, nonlinear coefficient, max acceptance angle, walk off angle, aperture distances on the influence of frequency conversion efficiency. Study of the beam radius and optimum crystal length and the conversion efficiency of the relationship.(2) Based on the analysis of results, design LD side pumped Nd:YAP of A-O Q-switched laser, reached fundamental light output power requirements. Research of the cavity design and simulation, calculation of the cavity stability area, and cavity radius and the length of cavity relationship. Through the study of the external cavity focusing model, analysis of divergence angle influence on conversion efficiency.(3) Set up experiment platform, device using LD side-pumped Nd:YAP laser A-O Q Technology, Cavity by LBO crystal SHG output670nm red. After cavity external focalization, using the LBO, BBO crystals were FHG. Through the optical potical prism output335nm ultraviolet laser. Using LBO better experiment effect. When repetition rate at1kHz, output52.72mW335nm UV laser light, pulse width is129ns and the conversion efficiency of frequency conversion efficiency is1.9%.
