A prevail course for research beam quality in modern society. There is still not a definition about the evaluation of fiber-coupled module beam quality. Through the thesis that will research fiber-coupled module, a new method for evaluating beam quality of fiber-coupled module will be given.The text analyzes fiber-coupled module’s principle and usual evaluation methods of beam quality.The main work of this dissertation is analyzing the parameter of beam before fiber coupled. Through the processes of beam collimation and shaping to make the theoretical calculation, computer simulation and experimental verification. Defined is the distance from collimating lens’s center to the light source, the conclusion is the more approach to0of the value of M and Q, the better quality of the beam.Analyzing the parameter of beam after fiber coupled. Compared with single and array semiconductor laser fiber-coupled module to test the power distribution, the conclusion is that the specific value of power density in the central region and total power density is keeping stability for the same beam.the bigger of the value B, the more concentration of the power density in the central region, the better quality of the beam.
