Semiconductor laser is a new kind of high-efficiency and miniaturized light source Semiconductor laser has many advantages such as small and ligh,high-efficiency of transformation between optics and electricity.lt has been used in material processing,medical instruments,spaceflight and military and so on.In recent years,as the development of optical fiber laser,serve as the pump source of optical fiber laser,the high power and high light 980nm semiconductor laser optical fiber coupling module becomes more and more important.How to increase the efficiency of optical fiber coupling and the reliability of optical fiber coupling module has been a very important problem.In this paper,we based on the technical research of high power semiconductor laser optical fiber coupling,designed 980nm optical fiber coupling module by using the way of optical fiber microlensing,we analysed the reasons that can affect the efficiency of coupling,and used the technology of optical fiber endface treatment and coating in order to decrease the loss of light and increase the coupling efficiency;with the purpose of increase the reliablity of module,we adopted laser welding and non-glue packaging process;primary studied the technology of optical fiber metallizing,we also analysed the theory of chemical nickel plating,did some experiments,defined the best process conditions and proportion,made a substantial metallizing plating which can meet the demands of laser welding,used the way of laser welding,assembled 980nm optical fiber coupling module, optical fiber's core diameter is 100um,numerical aperture is 0.22,doupling efficiency is 76%.
