During the recent years, high power semiconductor lasers or laser diodes(LD) more importance in industrial application such as optical fiber communication, the indispensable laser sources in solid-state laser pumping, fiber laser pumping, materials processing, laser medicine, because of their unique advantages such as small in size low power consumption high electric energy converting efficiency.Existence of highly asymmetric far-field output laser beam and astigmatism;it is a hard-to-solve difficult problem to efficiently couple the output beam of high power semiconductor lasers into optical fibers. In the thesis,we have do much research about the packaging technology of semiconductor laser, and have tested the parameters of 980 nm laser,Detail analysis the high power semiconductor lasers' light beam of far field. On the research of multi-beam composite fiber coupling technology systems,LD multi-beam optical fiber coupling scheme based on polarization multiplexing have been put forward, and design and assembly practical optical fiber-coupled module based on this program.Using polarization composite technology, collimating and focusing the two lasers with a wavelength of 980 nm to coupled into the optical fiber of 200μm.With the Knowledge of geometrical optics,Analysis the collimated laser beam method with using cylindrical lens.Based laser diodes and the parameters of fiber-related,non-spherical coupling lens have been designed. With this method,The two laser-beam with a wavelength of 980 nm can couple into the multimode fiber that NA is 0.22,and Radius is 200μm.When the current is 2.4A,Fiber laser power of 3.3 W is output continuous, and the Coupling efficiency is more than 87%.
