Sensor technology is the basis of information acquisition. Smart sensor represents animportant sensor development trend and is one advanced information technology. Coarsesignal processing is one core of smart sensor technology. We have done some work on thisand obtained some good results. It is urgent to develop an experiment system to carry out theresearch further.Firstly, this paper describes the background, research status quo, significance and objectof the experimental system for coarse signal processing of AC power smart sensor. Accordingto the system necessitarian, the system schemes are exploited adhered to the process ofsystem development. For the experimental system, we present a structure, according to which,the system consists of a PC-based system and an embedded application system. Then, circuitof the embedded application system is designed. In the embedded system, voltage transformerTV19and current transformer TA17(L)-04are used to sense the AC power. The sensed signalis conditioned with circuit that consists of amplier LM324. The single chip processorSTC12C5A60S2is utilized as the system micro-processor. The A/D converter in the MPU isused to convert data form from anologue to digital. The system communication isimplemented with the IC MAX232. The LCD1602is used to display the system information.Finally, the software for the embedded system is developed in the integrated enviroment KeilC. it has functions such as acquire of power signal, process of coarse signal, display of systeminformation and commulication with PC system. In integrated environment Visual C++6.0,software for the PC-based system is designed in Windows operation system. It can simulateAC power signal, process AC power coarse signal, show the system information andcommulicate with the embedded system. The results of experments show that the experimentsfor the performances of all the coarse process methods for AC power smart sensor can becarried out on this experimental system effectively.
