The pneumatic servo positioning control system with ARM controller is a relatively novel subject in recent years, it combines mechanical technology, electronic technology and pneumatic technology, and it is the embedded pneumatic control technology that aggregates some disciplines:mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and so on.The servo system control with ARM and pneumatic technology is convenience, fast operation, low cost and environmental, and pave the way for both pneumatic and embedded technologies using in industrial areas large-scale.This article is the study of pneumatic servo positioning system based on ARM, and the machine tool of the design was used in these processing operations,such as material handling, metal compartment drilling.The article was completed by combining of current theoretical research and practical results,and I have used the controller of the core Cortex-M3, used Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) pneumatic technology, and used Dynamic Matrix (DMC) control strategy to complete the whole issue of design and research.This article includes:(1)Described the general idea of the subject’s design and program selection, and ultimately determined the design of "ARM+PCM" pneumatic servo system;(2)According to the functional requirements of the system, selected the model of components of the system’s function and completed selection of the pneumatic components.At the same time, designed circuits of the control system’s hardware;(3)Because of the Pneumatic system with linear poor, the time delay and time-varying characteristics,used the Dynamic Matrix Predictive control strategy to achieve the target which this system should meet the accuracy of the positioning.Simultaneously I has analyzed the theory of this system and studied the mathematical models of this system;(4)The design of the system’s software was the modular division of tasks:the module of the main function, the module of the keyboard’s scanning, the module of the liquid crystal (LCD) display, the module of pressure-acquisition, the task of receiving and sending the control signal of pressure-acquisition,the module of sending the pulse-command and direction of signal.
