Research On Survivability Of Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON)

With the rapid development of internet, the IP traffic growth is exponential.ThePrimary services carired by the telecommunication network are upgrading from thetraditional voice teaiffc to the data traffic.The self-similar,dynamical,and burstcharacteirstic which ask for a dynamic management.A network rose up at thismoment，which can configure resources as soon as possible called ASON.Theindependent control plane function is introduced in ASON,which makes the opticalnetwork set up and cut off connections more lfexibly in accordance of the needs ofbusiness layer and at the same time realize fast recovery when there is failure ofnetwork occurirng.In this dissertation, our research work focus on survivability in ASON.Atferextensive and systematical analysis of ION,We make deep and innovative research onsome key survivability technologies.The main works and innovative results are listedas follow:—Introduced the intelligent light network’s architecture, After analyze thesurvivability properties of SDH network and ASON,we give advantages of ASONsurvivability techniques compared with SDH.—This article has analyzed the control plane survival technology and thetransmission plane survivability technology thoroughly, and to controls the planeexpiration to propose two kind of solutions.--We analyze the schemes for protection and resoration in ASON.We present theapplication schemes of protection and restoration. And then we use some cases to givethe appliancation of protection and restoration in ASON.Summairzed operator’s inASON network time strategy application and the network planning method, and unities the example analysis explanation.—We present a measunnent to ensure the schemes for protrction and restoration ofASON works well.
