With the fast development of the network and multimedia technology, video hasbecome the main media of information transmission and has a great advantage inimpacting the society. The digital TV technology and video compressing technologyhas has a great development and make the high-definition video become the main toolused in the aiding sports training. Till now, almost every country pays great emphasisto the sports event and daily training video. By accumulation and sorting, withinformation, network and multimedia technology, it can improve athletes’performance greatly by analyzing the opponents’ characteristics and setting up ourown training scheme and finally adopting it in the real events successfully.With C#as the developing language and.net platform, by adopting the videoconverting and synthesis, the multithreading technology, as well as the FFmpeg, thissubject achieves the process of the video uploading, video format converting andvideo release and the function integration on the server of the video managementplatform of the National Fencing Team. The above work realizes the videodistribution without man’s duty.In this paper, a research is done on applications of FFmpeg in the NationalFencing Video management platform. By an in-depth study on FFmpeg, a specificintroduction of its compilation, usage, and video coding and decoding process is firstdone in this paper, then a research on the process of video converting by FFmpeg isfocused in this paper. The video’s main format is MPEG. This platform transfers thevideo to FLV by FFmpeg, which makes the video distribution and browser on thenetwork, solving the problems during the video sharing among the coaches andathletes.
