Users can also choose their favorite programs and make an appointment.whenthe reservation program begins to play system will automatically jump withoutmanual operation.Electronic Program Guide includes the front-end broadcast system and theterminal receiving system. The front-end broadcast system is mainly responsible fordata generation and broadcast of SI.The terminal receiving system is responsible toparse the data of SI whose datas come from the front and store the data in the localdatabase used by the upper laye software.After understanding the standard of the the digital television and the standard ofMPEG-2, the structure of SI, the parsing of the EIT, the structure of the EPG data,the implementation process of the OSD graphics library, fonts, the package controland EPG interface were introduced in this paper.The most of data required by EPG comes from the EIT. The data analysis,storage and query of the EIT are important in the all tables of SI.The data often repeated several times to visit. Although the red-black treealgorithm is slightly more complicated, it improves the efficiency of query.
