With the arrival of the era of global network information and the rapid development of computer science and technology, the medical system transition to the model of modern, intelligent gradually, which make the PACS system adopt by more and more medical institutions, and it’s application also become more and more widely. The PACS system need to connect with the medical image equipment, but, there are various kinds of medical image equipment, and the interface adopted industrial standards are not unified, in order to realize the interconnection of different equipments, a unified communication standard must be set, therefore, DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) communication standard was born, which was set by American College of Radiology (ACR) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).DICOM standard has formulated the unified standard between equipments, which is the most important standard in the field of the digital image information resource system, and it was fully supported by RIS and PACS. In addition, most of the medical equipment producers have promised to adopt the unified communication standard presently, after years of development, the DICOM standard bad come to the era of DICOM3.0after continuously perfect.This paper gives a detail analysis and study on the communication protocol and information structure of the DICOM3.0communication standard, on the basis, the medical video information sharing system was researched and realized, the system mainly complete the image storage process from image acquisition software to medical image archiving administration like PACS, That means the request launched by DIMSE service users completed by another DIMSE service user through the C-STORE service which is one kind of the DICOM storage service class. This system designed by this paper has the following two characteristics: lower layer communication protocols fully supports DICOM3.0network communication protocol and TCP/IP protocol; it has some perfect method to created, accept and termination DICOM communication.The medical image information sharing technology researched and realized based on DICOM3.0standard achieve the sharing of the medical image information resources in the area of whole medical diagnosis and treatment environment, which greatly improve the accuracy and efficiency of the medical treatment, besides, it has very important significance for the development of medical system.
