Host Virtualization Integration Key Technology Research

With the demands of enterprise and development of IT, the enterprise’s information construction has been developed far beyond imagination. However, many disadvantages are also companied with achievements, e.g. large amount, complex structure and difficult management. The mature of sever virtualization bring a turning point to address these problems, therefore, more and more enterprises has been considering sever virtualization a reality.As the pioneer of information technology, China Mobile has drawn several three-year rolling planning blueprint. To address the problems like difficult management, the Hunan province of China Mobile actively promotes the IT planning blueprint, considering the implementation of sever virtualization, which in order to elevate resources utilization and reduce squander.This article describes following parts:1. Explicit description of virtualization technology, especially in sever virtualization, including its concept, products and significance.2. Taking Hunan Mobile sever virtualization planning and implementation into account, raising a suite of server virtualization method, which is creative and integrated.3. In Analysis&Assessment phase, there is a problem that how to determine the mapping program of current host integrating to new virtualization host. This paper proposes to convert it to Vector Bin Packing problem (VBP), creating a suite of assessment model to solve VBP based on Group Generic Algorithm (GGA).4. In Customization&Optimization phase, focusing on users’special need, board exclusion, system importance etc., and these factors are reflected in the final server virtualization program.5. In Maintenance&Management phase (after consolidation), explicit designing the infrastructure and combing manage process. According to this, designed a newly platform for maintenance&management.Virtualization has been widely used in many enterprises’information construct. This paper has fully summarized previous work, and forward bold innovation, raising a set of complete infrastructure virtualization consolidation method, which is the main innovation in this paper. It is expected that this paper will be a reference when other enterprises implement sever virtualization.
