Plan And Implementation Of Nanjing Unicom’s IP Network Quality Of Service

Multi business operation, integrated information service has become a new era of operators in the new direction of development. IP network can provide the users a wide range of business. In the bearer service, due to a variety of business characteristics, the network requirements on the bandwidth, delay, jitter will be quite different. We can say, IP-MAN Quality of Service (QoS) problem solving is the key for difference of multi-services. Therefore how to effectively allocate network resources, to better meet the diverse needs of customers, to provide customers with quality assurance, detail differentiated applications and Differentiated Service (DiffSrv), become operators focus.Nanjing Unicom IP metropolitan area network in bearing voice, IPTV, business cases, faces the issues on the service quality difficult to meet the business requirements, needed to realize its assurance.In this paper, based on the in-depth study of the IP QoS relevant technology, the author investigates and researches Nanjing Unicom IP MAN architecture, three layer routing, two layer Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) network cases, detailed analyzes recent Nanjing Unicom typical demand of telecommunication business and differentiated quality of service requirements, finally puts forward the complete IP-MAN network quality of service planning and deployment principles, and researches, tests the related network equipment configuration.The scheme on Nanjing Unicom IP-MAN currently has begun to be deployed, practice has proved that it is considerate, reasonable, design detailed, implement feasible. After the preliminary assessment, the scheme implementation improves Nanjing Unicom IP-MAN running efficiency and service quality, lays the foundation for Nanjing Unicom further IPTV integrated business promotion. The plan has a certain universal adaptability, can also be refered for other network in the service quality of the network planning and deployment.
