The frequency domain design of control systems is a core element of classical control theory. Although the control system for frequency domain design process is very simple, but the actual processing is quite complex in the classical control theory. Because the parameters of the control system may be adjusted several times in the design process, this adjustment process will not only require large amounts of computation, and a wealth of design experience and a solid theoretical basis.Based on the profound analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the classical control theory in the design of control systems in frequency domain, the paper puts forward a method based on the genetic algorithm in the control system design method in frequency domain. In the frequency domain control system design, first I take the multilevel correction device and adjust system in series, then a genetic algorithm is adopted to program of multi-level correction device directly the parameters optimization according to the corrected system performance requirements, and then the system correction is completed. Using genetic algorithm for control system frequency domain design is not only simple and feasible, but also requires little experience. Compared with the traditional design method, this method has obvious advantages.At last, the paper will make the design process of the frequency domain of the control system visualizate, making the frequency domain of the design process is more intuitive operation easy. At the same time, through the VC and MATLAB joint programming, It will realize before and after correction of system simulation in the VC directly call MATLAB on, further simplify control system frequency domain of design process, improve the design efficiency of frequency domain.
