Abstract:The connectors product widely used in many kinds of Electronics Products’connector, if connectors exist some defects in appearance by itself, it may have an effect on the function of electronic products which used. Therefore, detecting on surface defects of connectors is a essential link in the process of production. Digital image processing, which is include remove noise, enhance, recover, division, pick up perematers etc for images.The main task of this paper is that offers a DSP-based processors, wich is prodcuted by TI based on DaVinci technology, as the core of this system for image processing. Presents a Embedded System as a resolution of the Surface Defects of Connector.1) the background and significance of the subject were discussed, and introdouce the design solutions and technique of digital image processing.2)recommend image acquisition, image processing, images reveal, and video port, serial communication driving methods. Presents the serial communication of PLC, that provides the theory basis for the software design.3) tell about the implementations of the connector defect inspection based on image processing.On the basis of related literatures and analysis the feature of the connector, proposes even and odd compensate to saw tooth phenomenon; Offer a adaptive threshold methods, wich is based on summation of area method, to separate the goals from the image background; Using Canny edge detection method to capture the goals image edge; Improve a hough transform method, as the feature of the connector’s pin, that only need to count out two parallel lines in the image to check out the concrete location of pin; The paper also introduced a Image Processing Algorithm to detect Line, that is, should design a Line detection A and a Line detection B respectively at the top and bottom of the pin. In order to observe whether there is volatility in pin spacing. Thereby, we can Judge whether there are some defects in pin such as fracture and curvature. Finally, the paper introduced something about how to implant Image Processing Algorithm which refer to detect connectors’surface defects in DM6437chip. And finished camera calibration, saw the effect of operation, and analyzed the error detection.This project has designed a technological program which based on the image processing technology about detecting surface defects of connectors, and it adopted the embedded system which is small and lightweight.
