The third generation of communications technology matures, led to the development of mobile terminals in order to stimulate the development of a mobile terminal operating system. Order to seize the mobile phone market, the world’s well-known mobile phone manufacturers have increased their R&D efforts of the mobile phone software system, gradually increase the proportion of funds which the R&D into the phone operating system, a new mobile phone operating system came into being, which is Google Android, Google’s release in November2007specifically for mobile devices open source operating system, the system has the advantage of the overall structure of the stable, free open source, it is an operating system, middle-ware and key application software for mobile devices heap.With the development of communication technology,people can use mobile phone to browse internet,chat,send e-mail and do office work anytime and anywhere. Now,phone is not just mobile phones, but a computer.In today’s life, and personal location-related information accounted for more than80%.Previously, people in order to search a location or a street,need to see signs one by one to find,it is not only waste time but also waste energy, but now through the mobile phone positioning system can easily do this work.In the past, the vehicle navigation rely on professional GPS navigation systems and data update need to go to professional location, but these all become very convenient now.Now using mobile phones can realize the function of the navigator, and the update of the data via a wireless network to implement, and the pedestrian can also use the mobile phone navigation will not get lost, even in a strange city, so develope a mobile phone map software is very significance.This article describes the Android architecture from the start with the overall turn up from the bottom at all levels of the Android organizational structure. Then analyzed the composition of the Android application, details of four components, the Activity, the Content Provider, Broadcast Receiver and Service, but also the composition of the Android Hardware Abstraction Layer provides a hardware call support for application software developers. Resolve Activity life cycle, from the start of the application to the end of the running processes of the entire program, detailed analysis of the structures of the Android environment as well as the realization of the principle of the mobile phone map service. Developed on the basis of a mobile map service software, the software interface is simple, full-featured, quickly running, the main features include map browsing, address search, GPS information, save addresses, route planning, my position, cross-border notification, weather, system settings. The map view is the basic electronic map view function; address search is to search the address of interest, and display the search results on a map; the function of the GPS information including all the information read from the GPS, including the location information, speed, positioning time, provide users with detailed location information; address is stored, that is what happened by the time recorded, stored in the database which, for later queried; route planning can provide bus lines and driving routes queries for the travel; the location of module function is to display the current user location on the map, allowing users to know where they are; the main function of the cross-border notification is to inform the user do not set out the scope; weather forecasting future weather conditions inquiry; system Settings to set some of the settings of the system.This system throughout the development and testing process on a real machine, run smooth and stable, can be used as a daily application of the map service software.
