Motor lamp is one of the key components of the vehicle, which not only add thefinishing touch of the appearance of the car, but also directly affect the drivingcomfort and safety. The development and advancement of motor’s manufacturingtechnology promotes the updating of motor lamps technology whose device is mainlylighting and signal.During the research and development of new products in the motor lamp, reverseengineering and thinking are paid more and more attention. Modeling of motor lampcan be divided into three stages, including data measurement, three-dimensionalmodeling and structural design. This paper will detail reverse engineering technologyfrom data acquisition, data processing and model reconstruction three aspects. Andtake a certain vehicle headlights as an example of the reverse design process tointroduce the value of reverse engineering technology in the production of practicalapplication.Astigmatism veins is the main construction of motor lamps which used for lightregulating and light distribution function. It directly affects the vehicle’s performanceof safety and use. The research of the rapid modeling system for astigmatism veins ofmotor lamps has gone through several people’s efforts to form a complete system. Thesystem is made up of internal function and external function. Internal function ismade up of several function parts independently, which can realize ordinaryastigmatism veins, such as pyramid astigmatism veins, four-corner astigmatism veins,fish eye astigmatism veins and so on. External part includes setup program,encryption program, deciphering program and so on, which enhance the operabilityand safety of the system.This paper will mainly study the modeling principle of each function program,key technology and process during the program development. Then on the basis of theformer study, the new functional modules are developed and the original part of theprogram’s function is improved. Experiment shows that this system can greatlyimprove efficiency and quality of modeling, shorten the development cycle of newproducts and generate the considerable economic benefits.
