During the optimization of wireless networks, wireless network drive test is a veryimportant task, every year, network optimization engineers from mobile communicationnetwork operators spend a lot of manpower and resources for wireless performanceindicators by data collection and analysis. Currently, each operator has a wide range ofwireless network drive test tools, each of these tools to obtain wireless networkperformance data using a different data format; it also results in a variety of dataanalysis tools to handle different formats of captured wireless performance data.Optimization engineers are facing a problem of lacking a unified platform for dataanalysis. In addition, a mass of data drive test data management for networkoptimization staff presented a huge challenge, how efficient management of drive testdata and make the best use of these data-network optimization plan provides maximumclaim is a need to urgently address the problem. System described in this thesis uses thedatabase data to do the drive test data file management. Test data files on various testequipment providers uses the system described in this thesis. It also provides unifieddata analysis platform and management platform to do wireless data logging andanalysis, address the problem that every engineer has to install multiple different dataanalysis tools for differenct drive test data from the captured tools. By using this system,optimization engineers not only will greatly improve wireless network test efficiency,this system also provides the decision support for work direction and key point ofnetwork optimization to engineers. Optimiaziton engineers can process the drive testdata from some region of wireless network regularly so that they can get the change ofeach wirless performances in this region. By comparing the analysis results in differentpeorids, engineers can get to know the wirless performance change trend and problemsolution state for each known problem. For example, wirless cover status changes,interference changes, throughput changes and so forth could be shown to engineersdirectly. All these above can provide quantitative reference for coming maintenance,optimization and adjustment method. In some degree, it also provides reference for thelater decision. By this solution, engineers may have clear target and the work efficiency can be improved greatly. System also provides capability of variety of wirelessperformance indicators automatic statistics and automatically generates test report. Thesystem described in this thesis can be deployed in the carriers’ OA network. Allnetwork maintence and optimization engineers can remotely access the system databaseand obtain the required data files for online or offline analysis. According to the actualsituation, drive test data in multiple zones or multiple time periods can also be aconsolidated analysis and statistics and generate a test report automatically.
