At present, although many universities have deployed high-performance hardwareserver in the construction of campus network, but the management informationsystems (MIS) are much different to each other, which is clutter and lacking ofspecificity. The software system is based on C/S architecture and some is B/S modebased. These systems provide different levels of management. However, because of theparticularity of art colleges, conventional MIS have obvious shortcomings, mainly inthe lack of access management and control, rights management and lack of flexibility;the lack of participation of all the functions and sharing to the external; failed to supportcomplex applications, lack of scalable mechanism and unable to adapt to newtechnologies; failed to meet the cross-platform integration and applications.To resolve above problems and shortcomings and based on the development of ITtechnology trends and mature technology architecture, this system has combined withthe current application hot spots to promoting, sharing, disseminating, construction anddevelopment of art university digital resources; it also focuses on the expectations of amore complete set of features: highly available, scalable and highly flexible in line withthe development trend of IT technology. The author started thinking about the followingaspects.
