Community is the government's window to a majority of residents. Correspondingly, Digital community system is the nerve twig of e-government & e-business and the window of government's service to residents, which provides convenience to residents' life, increases the opportunity of employment, and enhances community revenue. Accordingly, digital community's construction is of great significance.The main goal of this project is to design & implement one subsystem of Digital Community System — Certificating Online Subsystem based on J2EE. In order to make the system easy-use, advanced, robust, extensible and secure, we deeply research a variety of advanced technologies and design thinking.Firstly, the R&D background of Digital Community System is introduced, and the architecture of J2EE & the property of web services are summarized in the thesis. Secondly, the guideline of constructing digital community and network topology & functional structure of the system are presented. Through a detailed comparison among component models of OMG CORBA, Microsoft .NET, and SUN J2EE, it is concluded that J2EE is the optimal platform for constructing e-government systems. According to requirements analysis and design target of Certificating Online Subsystem, the designs of concept structure, logic structure & physical structure of the subsystem's database are explained with emphasis. At last, summary design, view design, module design, web services design, system security design, and deployment & run of the subsystem are elaborated.
