Cluster technology has been widely used to command and dispatch intransportation, public safety, rescue and disaster relief and other emergencies. DMR islatest digital mobile communication system developed by ETSI in2004, which hassimple protocol technology, high spectrum efficiency, confidentiality, and support thetransition from analog to digital, DMR’s biggest advantage lies in open standard. Sothere is no existing intellectual property issues like iDEN and TETRA protocols.According to the actual situation, the user can flexibly develop the customized protocal.We use TI OMAPL138dual-core chip released in2010to develop the DMRprotocol, the chip is cheap, low power consumption, and has the advantages of the ARMand DSP cores, effectively reduce the chip area by using serial SPI Flash. Besides, TIsupport platform package for the buyer, which can effectively shorten productdevelopment cycle. So this platform has a strong competivive advantage in actuallydeveloping products.Firstly this thesis profiles the development of domestic digital trunking,comparing the DMR protocol with the current domestic mainstream digital trunkingprotocol, summarize the advantages of the DMR protocol, and elaborate the DMR AirInterface protocol worked in direct mode.Sencodly the thesis introduces the system architecture of OMAPL138platform,including the startup process, UBL and Uboot function during starting up, analyzes thedual-core communication mechanism and build the embedded cross-developmentenvironment.Then referening TI BSL we achieve external device driver developmentand debugging which are required in the development of DMR protocol physical layer.Finally using the dual core communication mechanism DSP/BIOSTM LINK andcommunication function supported by linux OS,we successfully implement the CCLand DLL function of DMR protocol worked in direct mode.Then based on the callcontrol flow which provided by the second charpter, we run the object code on the EVMboard, verify the correct of the function of the CCL and DLL layers through the printedresults of serial port.
